Re: Joe in the Press/Blogs/etc.
Here's anothe interview. Joe brings up the idea again that he and Henley might do something together in the future.
Quote:
“This is a good place to figure out how to navigate life after Glenn, to figure that out,” he said. “I know a lot of performers have come through Las Vegas and done well. We could do something of a retrospective, and I’ve thought of doing that with Don, actually. It wouldn’t be the Eagles, but maybe we can go out and he can play his stuff and I can play my stuff.”
Walsh points to a similar concept, starring legendary comedic actors rather than rock stars: the Eric Idle-John Cleese tour (which stopped by The Venetian in November), with Monty Python as the famous band and the two members sampling work from that troupe and their own solo careers.
“I could see us doing something like that, sure,” Walsh said. “It might not be time yet, but down the line I could see that.”

Re: Joe in the Press/Blogs/etc.
Would they do Falling Down, the only song they co-wrote as a duo? I've always had the impression that Don and Joe weren't that close but things could change.
If Joe and Don (H) did discuss hitting the road together, I'd imagine that Tim would give them a call.... would they turn him down to avoid it becoming too much of an Eagles reunion.
The future seems to hold a lot of promise in the Walsh camp, ignoring the Tom Petty support act aberration. :D
Thanks for posting the link, UndertheWire
Re: Joe in the Press/Blogs/etc.
He's probably thinking it would be something like "The Party of Two" shows he did with Glenn.
I'm not sure Don would be into that... but who knows?
Re: Joe in the Press/Blogs/etc.
I can't see Don going out with anyone else. He's selling shows by himself, no need.

Thanks for posting the link UtW.
A few decades ago, I survived years, as a Walsh fan, on just the odd random scrap of news.
I've been pulling me hair out these last few days, trying to found out anything about the current Vegas shows. Finally, into the third day of the tour I've found something. :yay:

Re: Joe in the Press/Blogs/etc.
Has this been posted before? I searched but didn't find it.
"Rocky Mountain Way" was named as one of the 15 Most Influential Colorado Songs, according to well-known Colorado music expert and DJ, Chris Kresge (article dated 8/6/2016).
http://theknow.denverpost.com/2016/0...120079/120079/
The article mentions that Joe and Dan Fogelberg are to be inducted into the Colorado Music HOF, but apparently it still hasn't happened, which seems odd.
Re: Joe in the Press/Blogs/etc.
This was a little delight to discover. It's a super article, The Rise of Joe Walsh, about Joe's pre Eagles career, by John Swenson, on the Best Classic Bands website, particularly focusing on the wonderful James Gang Rides Again and Barnstorm albums.

Never doubted that Joe would be on Ringo's new album, although this pic doesn't actually confirm it. Ringo has lined up some awesome bass players too.

Joe's on the bill for a Charity Benefit show, Songs of Love, Peace & Hope for God's Love We Deliver in New York on March 9th.

I'm fine with the love, peace and hope association, not so much with god.
Re: Joe in the Press/Blogs/etc.
Nice to see Joe working with Ringo too as well as Paul and Timothy!!! :D
