A Joe Walsh Christmas Miracle

When HOTE first came out, I sent a letter to the Eagles because I was completely fascinated by them. My mom told me not to expect to get anything back but deep down I really hoped I would get something. After checking the mail box everyday for like a year and a half, I realized it was wishful thinking to hope I would get something from the Eagles. Then, in October, my friend encouraged me to write a letter just to Joe Walsh. I thought what the heck. I might as well give it a try. So I sent a letter to Joe and I checked the mail box everyday like I did before. After a while, I told myself to give it up because it was wishful thinking to get anything from any Eagle but for some reason I still felt the need to check the mail every day. So this Saturday, the day after Christmas, I walked to the mail box thinking that I might just get a Christmas miracle. I brought the mail in the house and sorted through it. Then I saw an envelope addressed to me. I looked at the first line of the return address and it said "Walsh". Excitement started to build up in me so I looked at the last line of the return address and sure enough, it said Los Angeles, California. I started jumping up and down, screaming. I ran into the living room to show my mom. I said, "Mom! It came! After all this waiting, it came! It's from Joe! I can't believe it! I thought it was just wishful thinking! It's a Christmas miracle!" I was literally crying tears of joy as I opened it. Joe returned the letter I sent him with an autographed picture directly signed to me and a Joe Walsh guitar pick. It was so nice of Joe to take the time to do that. I got the best Christmas miracle ever.
