Just saw this link on FB and thought some might be interested. Apparently Glen Campbell has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. Very sad.

I read that, too. It's very sad.
He's in his 70s so it isn't that surprising.
He did a couple of my favourite records of all time - Galveston, Wichita Lineman & Rhinestone Cowboy to name just three. I think when I first heard Galveston it started my lifelong fascination with songs about places.

I agree with you there FP, Galveston is also one of my favourites - but I prefer to remember him singing it like this

another one I used to really love

How sad. :-( Great choices there FP.
I love this version of Wichita Lineman with Keith Urban. (Love the way they both make mistakes and yet keep on going with a laugh.)

Loved that Annabel! :iloveyou: KU! Thanks!
So sorry to hear this. Alzheimer's is a terrible, terrible disease.
Sad to hear this.
I always have to have my hanky ready when Glen sings 'And I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time' in 'Witchita lineman'.
Even 33 years after its release.
Awww. I've been a Glen Campbell fan since "Homeward Bound" was televised on the Ed Sullivan Show!
