It's one of my favorite Dylan songs-I love the melody, and the lyrics are just lovely. Adele also does a beautiful version of the song.

In my history of modern philosophy class the first day my professor was quoting philospohers and we had to try and figure out which one said it ans he quoted Thoreau.
From the opposite end of that, I thought of Don when I incorporated Thoreau into one of my classes. lol
 That's dedication Soda. Dedication to Don. ;)
One of the virtues of being a college English professor. You can assign whatever reading you like!
ABSOLUTELY Soda! You've worked long enough and hard enough to gain that priviledge!
I'm reading the book Long Time Gone by David Crosby and Joe tells a story about David teaching him how to sail. It's quite funny, as you can imagine!
David also thinks that the Chateau Marmont hotel must be the actual original "Hotel California" that the Eagles were singing about.
Thanks Brooke...that's another for my list of 'to gets'
Well, I guess now we know what people are talking about in school! Criticim, music, philosophy and Thoreau(?) That's quite a class for a college!
Yesterday I was watching a repeat episode of Designed To Sell on HGTV, where they take a house that is not selling and have a designer put $2000 into it to improve its chances of selling. The house was in Laurel Canyon and two separate times in the half hour they briefly discussed the history of Laurel Canyon with not one mention of Glenn or Don or even Jackson! They did mention The Doors, Frank Zappa and Houdini. :eyebrow:
