Re: Celebration of "After Hours"!
I imagine this album was something Glenn had wanted to do for awhile. I'm glad he was able to do it. I love the title track. He seemed to like that percussion effect of brush and cymbals (I'm probably using the wrong terminology).
Anyway, Happy anniversary, "After Hours"!
Re: Celebration of "After Hours"!
I always thought there could have been a nice video for "After hours"....

So much can change in five years....
Happy birthday, After Hours.
Re: Celebration of "After Hours"!
Happy Birthday to the wonderful album 'After Hours'. One of my favourites. Memories of my wonderful evening in LA also come flooding back now. It was a privilege to share that evening with Soda, FP and of course Glenn . Still so hard to believe that this was the last time I'd see a live solo show from him
Re: Celebration of "After Hours"!
It wasn't my last solo show, but I am deeply grateful for the album & the tour & saddened that no effort has been made to find anything like unreleased tracks.
Re: Celebration of "After Hours"!
Glenn clearly enjoyed making this record and seemed very pleased with the way it ultimately turned out.
My personal favorite is Caroline, No. It's not an easy song to cover and I think Glenn did a fine job.

Re: Celebration of "After Hours"!
I love the warmth of Glenn's voice on this record. I find it an especially great listen after a stressful day at work. S-I-G-H.....

The Art of the Song COMPLETE Tribute to Glenn Frey
Parts 1,2 and 3 Transcript and Audio
Radio Interview in Pasadena 2012 in advance of the release of After Hours. I had only been able to find and read Part 3 so I was happy to discover the complete series is available online.

It's hard to believe we are only a few short weeks away from the second anniversary of Glenn's passing. I sure do miss him but it helps to focus on celebrating his life and enjoying his records, especially AH which he truly loved making.

Re: Celebration of "After Hours"!
I listened to After Hours in its entirety after work today for the first time and it is truly a magnificent album. I can see why Glenn enjoyed making it.
