Peneumbra - Did you hang out there in the late 60's early 70's when the guys did. If so, very cool ! Would love to hear some of your stories.
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
I seem to recall going to the Troubadour in maybe… I guess it was 1972. I got to know Doug (Weston), and he'd let me in even though he knew i was under age - thanks, Doug, wherever you may be.
A lot of very interesting things - to put it mildly - took place at the Troubador; some of them even happened on stage. A certain member of this band, who shall remain nameless (rhymes with "High") referred to the whole scene as "The Days Of Lines And Noses."

I have read a lot about it and sounds like it was a wild place. Glenn had so so thing from what I have read, to say about the Troubadour. How old were you then ? Was the legal age 18 or 21 ? Were you a roadie or did you just work for that one tour ?
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
I was 18 when I started going to the Troubador; the legal age for clubs serving drinks was (and is) 21.
I worked various Eagles tours through mid-1976. The money wasn't great, but I made up for it by going out in the audience during the encores and honing my pickpocket skills...
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
As I was watching my favorite show called This Is Us, the family bought a car from a car dealership called Doug Henley(I forgot the rest of the name, but it was cool and surprising to see the name Henley.
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
I noticed that too Shun and thought the same thing!!! :D
Re: Little things that remind you of the Eagles
So, there's this new car here that seems like everyone in my city bought it, it's a Jeep, model "Night Eagle"
Every damn time I see that car around I'm like "ooohhhhh" :partytime: smiling like an idiot

I'm watching this movie right now and I just noticed this. I've been watching this movie for years and this is the first time I've noticed the On the Border tshirt. Very cool!

Reminded me of Timothy: I bought paint for my bedroom and the name of the color is "Playin' it cool"!
(It's a light gray)
