Is it her version of Jackson Browne's "Nightingale"? The Eagles covered it on their first album.
This transcript of the movie doesn't have timecode markers but it's a verbatim account of everything (including lyrics from the music snippets): http://www.springfieldspringfield.co...agles-part-one
I used it to figure out what Poco song is playing when they talk about recruiting Randy!

It's at the part where the band is pissed at Geffen for having half of their publishing.
It might be Laura Nyro. Can you do a screen capture?

Unfortunately, I don't see any lyrics of the song I was talking about. The transcript skips from "Ladies and gentlemen, Linda Ronstadt" to one of Linda's interviews they used.

No, I can, but a quick Google images found the photo I was talking about.

Yep, that's Mama Cass. And Glenn's one-time sugar, Joni Mitchell :)

I thought that that was Joni Mitchell beside him.
I'm happy to know that my eyes aren't deceiving me :)

So the lyrics you heard weren't "if the same thing happened to everybody
that just happened to me..."
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
If it's the part where they're playing backup for Linda Ronstadt in 1971, the song is "Lovesick Blues."

Yeah, that's the song. I rewatched that part and I could hear Linda sing those words underneath her interview part.
Re: Discussion of Eagles Documentary "History of the Eagles"
I was watching part 2 tonight before bed, and I noticed that during the HFO rehearsal footage and the video, Don Henley had a wrist brace on his left wrist . Anyone know why? That's the only time I've seen him wearing one while playing? Did he injure his hand?
