Moving Pictures - Great album and I think side one of the album is one of the finest album sides ever (Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, YYZ, Limelight). Waves is very good as well, although I've only listened to it properly once so far. Having said that, The Spirit Of Radio is the song that got me into them.

I'll go with Nirvana, particularly David Grohl. They pioneered the grunge scene in Seattle.
