Las Vegas, NV Nov. 5, 2011
HH just texted me some brief notes.
- The show was only 2 hours, but was fantastic.
- No new songs were added to replace any of those subtracted.
- The show was heavy on Joe's material, but he was "workin' it" and was "really ON"
- She and her hubby got official Joe Walsh guitar picks!
- Overall the show was "fabulous!"

Thanks for the update! Can't wait to hear more!
Re: Las Vegas, NV Nov. 5, 2011
Ooooh sounds very good indeed. I'll be interested to HH's review when she gets around to it. Anybody get any pics? Now that we know you got picks!
Re: Las Vegas, NV Nov. 5, 2011
Very nice! Although I'm not surprised Joe was awesome - as if he ever ISN'T awesome! :hilarious:
Re: Las Vegas, NV Nov. 5, 2011
Great to hear they had a good time.:headbang:
Re: Las Vegas, NV Nov. 5, 2011
OK, by 'we', HH meant her and I (for the guitar picks)...poor HH - DH was elsewhere and got no picks! Yes, the concert was shorter than expected, but overall fantastic!
The security to get in was extreme, in my opinion. I walked up with real camera in hand and watched, then went to my room and ditched the camera. Metal detectors and wands and they went through all bags. Some got real cameras in but I elected not to chance it and returned to my room to ditch it. So...cell phone only. Almost all need to be photoshopped (contrast and brightness), which I need to do on a different laptop (Monday or Tuesday, depending on how other issues in my life turn out on Monday).
It was a shorter set list but it was great. Just great. When I'm able, I'll post the set list. No intermission, and so I had no chance to write in the order of songs, but I have list of all songs played, if not the exact order.
One should never see an Eagles concert on a milestone birthday...the 'after party' can get pretty involved. That is to say...ah...it may be a while before I write a coherent review.
There was a bit of Glenn-tact, plenty of Don-tact, and more Joe-tact. I hope I can fix the lighting on the pics. Mostly, I was too busy enjoying it all...

Re: Las Vegas, NV Nov. 5, 2011
When we saw them in Indy in 2010 we had third row in front of Joe and at one point thought we got some Joetact, although the farther away you are the harder it is to tell if he's looking at you or someone else. I remember Hubby and I arguing on the way home..."He was looking at me!"..."No, he was looking at me!" Lol! But I do remember the girl who was front row in front of Joe and watching her when she was up and dancing. SHE got a lot of Joetact, and I remember thinking, "Lucky girl..."
So glad you had a good time and got some picks. How did it come about? Did he point to you two?
Re: Las Vegas, NV Nov. 5, 2011
PM, HH and I didn't sit together (she was about eight seats towards the center from me), but before the concert she came down my way and his tech just walked up to us and started talking. I wish we'd asked his name. He asked if we were having a good time. HH mentioned it was my '21st birthday', we all got a laugh out of that. He stepped away and turned right back and handed us the picks. Eagles on the front and JW on the back. Others around us just looked at him so he returned with a few picks for them, too.

OK, I can't vouch for the order, but these are the songs they sang. The top nine or so are in the right order. The encore and a few songs before it are in the right order. The middle is what I think I remember.

Well - for some reason, I kinda suspected it may be an abbrieviated set list. But - glad the show was fabulous just the same. And kudos to you two on getting Joe's picks. I'm so glad that you all were there, and have a safe trip home. Can wait to see and hear more about it.
