Hey guys, I just got this idea and we'll see if it works out. I have an EOC Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/eaglesonline) already, but I thought it would be fun to have a Twitter just for The Border since sometimes we have events on here that I don't put there. I'm setting it up now, but I wanted to post about it ahead of time so you know it's legit. If you're a Borderer and have a Twitter, I'll follow ya! If you have one and I don't know it, just PM me or follow me to let me know about it. Here it is: The Border Twitter (http://www.twitter.com/bordertweet)

I've had a Twitter page for a while but I haven't logged on to it in so long.

ETA: I'm logged on and am now tweeting again. Is that the right term...tweeting?

vamp - You post 160-character-long status updates or comments. You can also converse with other twitterers (yes, it's termed "tweeting") by prefacing your comment with @ and their username - for example, if you wanted to gripe at me, you could type in the status bar "@adreamabove You're a dork" (or something equally intelligent; the average tweet isn't exceptionally deep :)).

On a related note, I tweet on a regular basis just for the pleasure of tossing a few feathers in the air and observing others' reactions. Am considering adhering to the Henley protocol and filing an infringement lawsuit... ;)

Add me to the '..too old' group. I'm pretty clueless about it - I also don't think I have anything wildly interesting to tweet about. Does anyone really want to hear about my insane teenagers who are driving their Mother to an early grave? :hilarious:

Yeah, I know what you mean! I guess you just tweet when you have something really interesting going on, which with me, is not often! :shrug:

Even I have kind of abandoned my personal twitter since I felt that I didn't have much interesting to say on it. The EOC and Border twitters, however, are a different matter. ;)

When I moved to Memphis a year ago and started my new job as a full-time university faculty member, I gave up the Tweeting. Just too busy. If anyone would like to help me with it, let me know! If I could only get some help, maybe we could revive it!

I thought about Facebook, but didn't follow through with it for the same reason.

Anyone with a Twitter account who doesn't already follow @eaglesonline, please do! As Nancy said, we're hoping to link it up to an EOC Facebook page soon...

Just now seeing this. Thanks to Troub and Soda for the FB page! I know it's a lot of work to keep on these sites up to date and running and I really appreciate it. I know I can alway find the latest and greatest news by coming on here and now FB will push it right through to my wall. Yeah!!! :thumbsup:
