Involvement with the Eagles
Smith's involvement began with Glenn Frey in 1982, when he played sax on No Fun Aloud. Since then, he has appeared on all of Glenn's solo albums, not only playing saxophone but arranging as well. He has toured with Glenn for over 20 years. Touring with the Eagles was a natural progression from his work with Glenn. In 2009, he played steel guitar on Timothy B. Schmit's album Expando.
